Schedule

The beginning of 2008 will focus on data collection and analysis.  Development of the Community Agenda, which is the heart of the plan, is anticipated to begin in spring 2008 and continue through the summer into the fall.  It is anticipated that the plan will be ready to submit to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) by the end of 2008.  Following DCA review, the plan will be presented to City Council for adoption in 2009. 

The Steering Committee will hold its first meeting on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 50 East Main Street.  The meeting is open to the public, but is not being held to solicit input from the general public.  Opportunities for everyone to provide input will be provided later.
