Public Works is responsible for the care and maintenance of 25 beautification areas (parks) and 2 cemeteries.

Services provided by Public Works for the parks and cemeteries include:

•  Planting Spring, Fall, and other seasonal flowers and shrubs.
•  Mowing the grass in the 25 parks and 2 cemeteries.
•  Maintaining landscaped areas at City Hall, Public Works, and other City facilities.
•  Installing irrigation systems in plant beds.
•  Maintaining trees by pruning or removal.
•  Work with the Beautification Committee and the Tree Board.
•  Work with Planning and Engineering by assisting building contractors.
